Englishman Joey Foster reversed a four points deficit in the final round of the Australian Formula 3 championship to clinch the 2009 title. The final race of the season was won by Foster’s 15-year-old Mitch Evans making it a record braking Wekkend for team BRM with a back-to-back title win and fileding the youngest race winner ever in the Australian F3.

Michael Schumacher took the overall victory of the annual International Kart Challenge at Brazil’s Florianópolis after winning round 1 on Saturday and securing a 2nd place in round 2 from a reversed grid on Sunday. The German overtook all opposition with only his former team-mate Felipe Massa being able to escape humiliation by the retired 40-year-old former F1 champion.

I’m getting used to it that it seems normal nowadays to pickup information researched by other parties and selling them as if they were your own. Is it too embarassing for the AS editor to cite a medium like P1Mag as a source? Just because you guys print information onto paper doens’t turn you into the source of the original information. The way Robert Kubica’s possible switch to Mercedes GP is explained just proves your reporter doesn’t actually know the details. Nor has he any idea of basic construct of a driver’s contract. However, next time please do the ethically correct thing and cite your sources. OR just give me a call and I’ll explain the background to you…

Next episode in the BMW Formula 1 withdrawal: no more Qadbak, now Peter Sauber himself is – officially – buying back the team. Under the condition, of course, the the team will have a slot allocated by the FIA in the 2010. And that’s not foreseeable so far. The saga continues.
